Bikaner, the true desert country is located
in midst of the Great Thar Desert of India in Rajasthan. This part
of the state is hard, rocky soil, solid as brick. This camel country
was a great centre of trade in the ancient world. Today, Bikaner is
fast becoming a green belt so rich that it rivals the fertile lands
of Punjab and Haryana that bounds it.
