No we are not talking of a multistarer Bollywood movie. We are talking about the very important issue of elections -2004.

The big question is ,"should the elections be glamourised" . Far more important is once these stars get elected, will they pay enough attention to there new duty as a law maker?

The buzz is that the stars have been payed to campaign for the political parties. That apart, do they themselves know what they are entering into and are their future plans in place? Are the real issues so unimportant that the focus has to be shifted to this new glittering world.

Ethical questions are many but one thing for sure, their entry has added a unique glitter to the elections.

The race seems to be of who has a larger fan following. The entry of film stars in politics is not new for south indian states but for the rest of the nationand at this scale, the stars have landed.

Let us hope that the elections remain a serious issue and not a mockery of our democratic system.
