Profile: Yashwant Sinha'a peace talks with Colin Powell failed to impress the voters who wanted the basic amenities like electricity and water. As a result he was defeated by B.P. Mehta (CPI).

(Petroleum Minister) - BJP

Constituency: North Mumbai, Maharashtra

Profile: Ram Naik has been a five time MP was defeated by Hero no. 1 Govinda. Taking an anti disinvestment stand as a petroleum Minister might have been a populist move but it failed to support him, it seems.
