NAIDU WANTS EXIT POLLS TO BE REGULATED
Jaipur, Apr 30 (ANI): BJP President M.Venkaiah Naidu today said that the party would approach the Election Commission and even the courts of the land to introduce a legislation to regulate the declaration of exit poll results and to make the organizers of such polls accountable.
Apparently rattled by last week's exit poll announcement of a hung Parliament after the elections, Naidu told reporters here that the poll projections worked against the interest of the country.
''We are concerned more with polls, not exit polls which cause much harm to the country. The people will decide. ''I am not criticizing exit polls, but someone should be held responsible.
We are not for a ban, but favor that the exit poll result should be telecast after the final phase of polling,'' he said. (ANI)
