JD(U) to stake claim in Bihar
February 28, 2005
The Janata Dal (United) has decided
to stake a claim to form the next government in Bihar today.
The move is an attempt to counter the RJD's efforts to form a new
government.
This decision was taken at a meeting of top JD (U) leaders such as
George Fernandes, Sharad Yadav and Nitish Kumar.
Nitish Kumar has been projected as the most probable chief ministerial
candidate of JD(U)-BJP combine right through the elections.
Party sources said JD(U) leaders would try to hold informal
consultations with LJP chief Ramvilas Paswan today.
